Bright Sparks

Are you a Bright Spark? If so, we are asking you to share with the rest of the state how you get creative.

The Bright Sparks booth will be travelling throughout Queensland filming discussions on creativity and innovation in every shape and form.

A selection of these short pieces will be able to be viewed.

Guidelines for TEACHERS

You can access Bright Sparks in two ways

  1. 1. The Bright Sparks touring booth will be traveling to libraries and education centres around the state. The Bright Sparks Tour dates are now available. Click here (new window) Adobe PDF document

Refer to Bright Sparks @ the library to help your students prepare with the Questions for Creativity and encourage them to write notes or a short piece (less than 2mins) for speaking to the camera.

Bookings to record student clips will be taken through participating libraries who will be able to assist with the students, and help orientate students to the resources available in their local libraries.

  2. Alternatively, record your own pieces and upload it. Refer to Bright Sparks @ school to help prepare the students to record their message.

Every student must have a signed consent form from a legal guardian or parent before recording or sending in their Bright Sparks piece to camera.

Inspire your students to prepare their short piece for camera (approximately 2 minutes), using the questions below as a guide. Students can pick one or answer them all.

  1. Make sure you have filled out the CONSENT FORM and handed it to the library assistant.
  2. Say your full name and school or organisation you represent to camera. This is for office use only and will be edited out for uploading to the web.
  3. Choose one or more questions about creativity from the list below.

Questions for Creativity

You can also share your creative ideas, songs, lyrics, poems, musical moments or inventions.

Your Bright Sparks piece will then be sent to the Year of Creativity team to be uploaded to the Year of Creativity website.
