From 14 - 17 July students from years 5 - 12 will be asked to 'Design the Learning Space of the Future' that exemplifies their beliefs around creativity and global education.
Launched at the Queensland Academy for Creative Industries at Kelvin Grove, participating students will use technology to interact, design, collaborate and present their vision to a panel of industry professionals. Students from all schools from the middle to senior years are encouraged to participate in person or online through the Learning Place, in this interactive, future driven, design-focussed Challenge.
The Next Big idea focuses on Design Thinking and will encourage truly inspiring visions of tomorrow's learning communities. Participating students will be required to:

In the not too distant future - our schools will be very different. We will have to use more sustainable materials in our classrooms and outdoor areas, develop new solutions to our energy challenges and find new ways to integrate technology.
What solutions can your students develop, design and pitch to leaders in the field, including Queensland's Innovator in Residence, Professor Carlo Ratti?
How do you participate?
The challenge will culminate with an industry pitch 17 July to Professor Carlo Ratti, Dan Tobin from Urban Arts Project, and Timothy Hill from Donovan Hill.
