Innovator in Residence Living Laboratory

As part of his 2009 residency, Professor Ratti established a Living Laboratory in The Studio at the State Library of Queensland. Professor Ratti was joined by more than a dozen of his research team from MIT's SENSEable City Laboratory and by local Queensland researchers, academics and other experts.

Living Laboratory participants used The Studio as their primary office for the three-week period continuing with their own work and projects and coming together intermittently to brainstorm ideas and concepts. During this time, Professor Ratti developed design concepts and ideas to help make the outdoor working experience in Queensland more enjoyable and productive.
